Happy (belated) Anniversary!

This post is nearly a month overdue...but important enough to share anyway! Things have been crazy around our house. Though I'm starting to think maybe crazy is the new normal for us...

Levi and I celebrated our 11th anniversary on July 28th! We were fortunate enough to have our friend Carrie and her daughter Jenna watch our two monkeys for us so we could go to dinner at a fancy restaurant. It was a lovely time, just the two of us. We love our kids dearly and normally bring them along for everything we do...but it was nice to have an adult dinner for such a special occasion. :)

I thought it might be fun to have a timeline of pictures to share...we've grown so much together over the past 11 years and it's fun to see it.

I think we can both honestly say that we have been lucky enough to marry our best friend. I often hear people say that high school sweethearts don't make it because they don't know anything else and it's that curiosity of the unknown that drives them apart. Or that they were too young to know what they really wanted. That is definitely not the case with us - we have a wonderful marriage that I wouldn't trade for anyone or anything. We have had our ups and downs but the constant through it all has been each other and the strong relationship we have developed. I actually count it as a blessing that we found each other when we did, and have been able to grow together through it all.

Here's to another 11 years...and hopefully many more after that! :)

Lovely in Love

Today is the 10-year anniversary of the day Levi and I were married!

It's strange, it seems like we've been together forever and yet at the same time I can't believe it's been 10 years already.

So much has changed since we first met - we've graduated high school and college, we've gotten married (obviously).

We've moved across the country four times. Levi has a Master's Degree. I'm now a doctor.

Most importantly, we have a beautiful daughter that daily teaches us the lessons of love, patience, and imagination.

I know that we're far from done growing together, as a family and as a couple. I am thankful that despite - or because of - all that we have been through together, we have such a deep understanding and love for each other. I pray that this though it has been 10 years already, it is only the beginning.
